The news highlights partner-driven adoption of SAP Cloud ERP, reinforcing SAP's position as a core Systems of Record platform (ERP) in the agent economy, as ERP systems provide durable, queryable records essential for agent workflows.

The acquisition extends Freshservice into software and AI spend governance, consolidating records across applications, licenses, identities, and AI spend into a single queryable context — strengthening the durable-record substrate that agents act on. This supports the SoR thesis (P5 queryable history / P1 records) by making the platform a richer, machine-readable control plane for AI agents.
